Wood Shed Delivery Information
Our delivery rate is $2.75/mi from Thorndike, Maine with a minimum charge of $150. We can offer a discounted delivery rate to customers who are flexible on their delivery date-- please contact us with your location to see what we can currently offer.
The delivery rate includes unloading AND placement as long as the site and the approach to the site is accessible for us to place the wood shed for you. A fairly reliable test we use to assess accessibility is, Can you easily drive a low-clearance, 2WD car onto the spot where the wood shed will sit? This approximates both the height and width clearances as well as the ground surface required for placement. If you're not sure, please reach out and we can help you assess.
If we cannot access the site for placement, the delivery rate includes unloading only (at the closest point to the site that we can access) and additional charges will apply for placement, if possible.
Purchases can also be picked up direct from our shop in Thorndike by appointment.
A NOTE ABOUT SITE PREPARATION FOR THE WOOD SHEDS: A cord of wood can weigh up to 5,500 pounds, so to keep the building from sinking into the ground, we recommend placing the wood shed on a compacted gravel pad or similar surface. Otherwise, the area where the structure is going should be flat and relatively level, as well as firm/compacted enough for the "2WD car" scenario described above.
